Haitian Voodoo Ceremonies

A man washes away a mixture of basil, dandelion and spices with water poured from a calabash bowl, a final step in the cleansing and healing rituals performed beneath the falls during the annual voodoo festival held there, on Jully 15, 2008. Voodooists also throw their old clothes into the water to rid themselves of the past year's sins.
